Re-Centering Science in the Fight Against AIDS

30 years ago it was during this time that people with the AIDS couldn't get help medically or sign up for Welfare and Social Security because it wasn't deemed as a disease. 30 years later,peop­le are living longer but with side effects and opportunis­t infections being the cause of death. Me? I'm un-dectect­able (not a trace of the virus in my body) with CD4 counts over 600. Great news! Now I have a mild leak in my heart,infl­amed lung,swoll­en feet and legs and other ailments.
